The rules for your first game
Six things to know.
How do I serve?
Bounce the ball behind the service line, then hit it underarm, at or below the waist. Aim diagonally into the opposite service box.
When is it out?
The ball must bounce in your opponents' court before it touches their glass or fence. Let it bounce twice on your side and you lose the point.
The net
If your serve clips the net and lands in the right box, it's a let: serve again. In a rally, clipping the net is fine as long as it goes over.
How do I score?
Same as tennis: 15, 30, 40, game. First to 6 games (by 2) wins the set, and best of 3 sets wins the match.
Use the glass
Once the ball bounces on your side, you can play it off your glass. You can even hit it into your own glass to send it back over.
Return and volleys
The return of serve must bounce before you hit it. After that you can volley: hit the ball before it bounces.
Singles courts too
Same rules. Just you vs one opponent.
ARK has two singles courts as well as two doubles courts, so you can play one-on-one whenever you like. Follow us for the opening date and beginner sessions.
